The 33N Street Project is home to The Belgard Noma, a new premier multi-family residence located in the heart of the NoMa neighborhood (North of Massachusetts Ave.) in Washington, DC. The thirteen-story project includes state of the art residences that feature open floor plans with plenty of natural daylight via floor to ceiling windows, LED lighting, and Energy Star rated appliances. The project also includes all parking underground, helping to mitigate heat islands, and provides parking for low-energy fuel-efficient vehicles. Its location is within walking distance to various amenities as well as public transit.

Despite its urban location, the project was able to achieve the open space credit through extensive outdoor space located on the roof. The green spaces include a vegetative roof, pool, dog park, and lounge and grill areas. Studies have shown that there are various health and social benefits of having access to adequate outdoor space. While city living in itself is more sustainable, it can sometimes lack sufficient and convenient green space. Providing this amenity to the community helps promote a sustainable lifestyle among the building’s residents.
