Gama Goat Building

Camp North End, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, is an adaptive reuse project to encourage entrepreneurs, artists, and community builders to connect.  Previously used to produce Model Ts and Army missiles, the 76-acre site is being given new life in 2018.  The Gama Goat building was a former sprawling 140,000 square-foot single-story warehouse and factory building that will soon be a new, creative office space seeking Fitwel Certification. The unusual name is a callback to the site’s history. The “Gama Goat” was a nickname for a U.S. Army truck built in the late 1960s and early 1970s, which was assembled in the building.
